1. Flat TV Wall Mounts. These TV mounts are very basic and their major advantage is that the television is very close to the wall maybe up to 2″ max. They do not tilt up and down, the Television is parallel to the wall at all times. Their major disadvantage is that once the TV is up on the wall it is very difficult to plug any new cables to the back of the TV, because the TV is too close to the wall. In such a case you have to dismount the TV, plug in the new cables and then mount the TV again. The Flat TV Wall mounts cost $25 to $50 depending on the size of you TV. These are universal mounts and you can choose a range that fits different TV sizes. They usually offered for TV sizes 32in to 42in, 37in to 55in or 37in to 60in. We do not recommend these flat TV mounts.

2. Tilting TV Wall Mounts. Tilting TV mounts can be adjusted 12-15 degrees up or down in case there is a glare on the Television or when you need to plug in any new cables to the back of the Television. Tilting mounts require more space as a result they can extent 2″-3″ from the wall. Tilting wall mounts are offered for Television sizes of 32″-42″, 37″-55″ or 37″-60″ and they cost $30 to $70 depending of the size of your TV. We do recommend these TV wall mounts as they are very versatile and do not put stress on the wall.

3. Articulating, Swivel or Full Motion TV wall Mounts. These mounts can be adjusted to turn to the left and/or right, tilt 12-15 degrees up or down and they can extend 20″-25″ from the wall. Swivel Television mounts are perfect for a corner installation or when you sitting to the right or left of your Television. Articulating TV Mounts put a lot of stress on the wall that is why you must secure them on wall studs. Articulating TV wall mounts are much harder to install, have a lot more adjustments so it is best if installed by professional Installers. Articulating mounts are offered for TV sizes of 32″-42″, 37″-55″ or 37″-60″ and they cost $80-$200. Articulating Mounts require longer cables because they can swivel up to 180 degrees.
